AMPED Trampoline Park: Pick a Fight with Gravity

Ever think of losing yourself in jumping and frolicking in a park like a kid? Holding back because you don't want to be a laughing stock fretting that people will mock at you? Or you've been looking for an effective way to lose weight?

Well, this post may help!

We've since found a place to lose ourselves in trampoline. We were drenched in sweat after an hour of workout and we feel really good and relieved.

Trampoline workout is beneficial to people of all ages in a different way.
Many of us may deem that jumping and bouncing is a high-intensity workout that is unlikely beneficial to our heart. But surprisingly studies have shown that trampolining can actually achieve cardiovascular development where it helps strengthen our heart! With our pulse rate increased after jumping up and down trigger a better respiration. The cardiovascular system delivers more oxygen to the body with every heartbeat to increase the maximum amount of oxygen that the lungs can take in.

“Did you know that a 10 minutes workout on trampoline is equivalent to 30 minutes on treadmill? "

Which means trampoline can help to burn a substantial amount of calories. By jumping and rebounding on trampoline enabling the increase of metabolic rate, which means you continue to burn calories even when you’re done trampolining! It is since well known as a very effective and efficient way to lose weight.

I’ve ever read an article about how trampoline benefits children. It surprised me that regular jumping on the trampoline can reap an educational benefit and lead to academic success. But how does it works? The jumping helps the child learn because trampoline teaches muscles control and coordination. Studies have shown that many children see an improvement in academic when regular use of trampoline occurs.

Trampoline also develops better motor skill which is essential especially for growing child. Jumping on trampoline requires lots of balance and immersion because it requires brain to function bilaterally. This means both sides of brain and both sides of body must work in unison to maintain coordination and achieve balancing which improves and increases motor skills.

Pike Jump – Again from a straight jump start, the legs are straight, held together and lifted parallel to the trampoline and the arms and body reach forwards towards the pointed toes.

Now with the existence of AMPED Trampoline Park, we need not own a trampoline at home to reap the benefits. We have planned an impromptu visit to Amped Trampoline Park @ YoHa weeks ago since the (hyper) boy has demanded a fun place to give his body a good stretch after enrichment class.

There are some points to note if you’re planning an impromptu visit like us:

I: Check the availability online
The park has capacity limits to avoid over-crowding. Hence it is advisable to check the time slots availability online to avoid disappointment. Amped’s website enables us to check the available slots of different sessions in a day.

II: Booking
Booking online guarantees you a slot. Walk-ins are welcome provided there are spaces available.

III: Disclaimer
The waiver a.k.a disclaimer is mandatory before you start a jumping session. You will be denied access if you have not done so. To save time, It is advisable to submit a waiver online prior check-in. The waiver form is mobile friendly, hence it can be done on-the-go. Or else you have to arrive early to fill it in on-site with the tablets provided.

IV: Grip socks
Grips socks are compulsory for all patrons. You may bring your own or purchase a pair at the counter. Non-grip socks are not recommended to avoid the risk of slipping and get hurt.

Patrons are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled jump session to check-in and avoid loss of jump time. Each session allows one hour of jump time. You are welcome to book for more than one hour. Patrons will then be gathered and given safety briefing by the staff before the session starts. Follow the safety rule and you’ll be fine.

Amped Trampoline Park is suitable for all ages but guardian is required to accompany young kids to ensure their safety. The best is, accompanying adults enter for FREE. Spectators seats are also available for companion who doesn’t want to jump.

It is vital to keep yourself hydrated during and after the intensity, hence do not forget to bring along your water bottle! Drinks are available at the counter too if you do not own one. And the thoughtful Amped provide a complimentary bottle of mineral water for patrons.

Each jumping session is based on per hour blocks and the jumpers shall only be allowed to enter the park on the dot, after a safety briefing. Should you be there early, do get yourself ready and warm your body up while waiting.
Warm-up before the workout is particularly important to prevent injury. Gentle warm-up activity helps to get our muscles and entire body ready for vigorous activity by gradually increasing our body temperature, heart rate, and circulation.
The boy warmed himself up by climbing up and down the stairs, so as to check whether is it our turn yet. Lol

Nothing beats the foam pit! This is the most popular establishment in the park. This is where you can practise your aerial tricks or simply enjoy the freedom of flying through the air. Adults can try to do a fancy flip or twist into the foam pit. Some of them can really do an ultimate flip!

While younger kids will get a running start and leap off a trampoline into the foam pit. Fly high and land safely into a pit filled with foam blocks.

For safety reason, the pit is restricted to 2 jumpers at once, one on the left and one on the right lane.

The boy urges his peer to get out from the foam pit because he is waiting for his turn to jump. The soft bed is way too good for hogging! They would love to get stuck in the foam cubes!

Pyramid trampoline - The boys climbed up instead of capering. They had lots of fun though.

Slides down the pyramid for quicker landing, or jump off the pyramid and land comfortably on the trampoline bed!

Bounce off the wall freely as the spacious park is safeguard by trampoline beds.

Feeling springy and carefree to be able to hop in the air like nobody. I have since found my perky self in the park after kids!

Both son and mom skiddooed in a buoyant mood. Detoxified.

Go pick a fight with gravity and lost yourself in AMPED Trampoline Park today!
